Dr. Toma received his medical degree from Tanta University in Egypt in 1986. He served a rotating Internship in General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Urology, Anesthesia, and Emergency medicine until 1988. He also completed a Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat) and Audiology Residency at Elmobarah Hospital and practiced medicine for 7 years before moving to the United States.

He completed a Residency in Family Practice and served as a Neurotechnologist at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston from 2001-2004. He enjoys reading and swimming.
